Why Now?

 

Mozart Francois and his friends have been running table tennis programs in Haiti for many years on a financial shoestring. This is totally unsustainable. The expertise in table tennis, and table tennis coaching is there; the networks are there; and the team is there. But without adequate financial support, all these things may be lost.

 

Shakehand Youth has been created by a group of supporters in the U.S. who are determined to put in place the funding that will secure this activity into the future and for the benefit of all Haitians. Our first goal is to secure the new Jean-Rabel Program, starting in summer 2025.
