Table Tennis Extravaganza
We announced our presence in the Boston area in October 2024, with a half-day event in Waltham, MA. This free event welcomed friends and supporters to come and hear more about our work, and at the same time to enjoy table tennis – and gentle coaching, where wanted – in one of the venues used by Coach Mozart for the Boston Table Tennis Academy.
New Jean-Rabel Program
We are proud to announce that we are currently supporting a greatly enhanced table tennis program in the Haitian city of Jean-Rabel. With the support of JOOLA, we are in the process of shipping 6 professional grade table tennis tables and associated equipment to Jean-Rabel, where they will be installed in a Community Center for use by young people from schools in and around the city. Previously trained table tennis coaches in the local community will support weekday evening and weekend table tennis schools and competitions for as many as 30 children at a time. We thank JOOLA for their support in kind, which is making this program possible, and we urge you to step forward to help us cover other costs of the program including equipment, shipping, and clean drinking water for participating children.

Christmas Camp 2024

Over the Christmas 2024 holidays, Shakehand Youth gave funds to support a table tennis camp in the Haitian city of Jean-Rabel. For 3 days in December, local coaches Jesline, Junel, Gilbert, and others gave table tennis lessons to around two dozen children each day.
